Here we are, day one, in Raleigh, NC, . Bobby Chandler and Louie Carrillo (two Coasties getting ready to head West).On day one we logged approx 350 miles from Raleigh to Bryson City, NC. Over night here before heading out to run the Tail of the Dragon tomorrow morning up through the Great Smokie Mountain National Park region.
Bob: Congratulations on your embarkation. It is a miracle that you were actually able to get out of SoMD with all of the crap that you ordered and had shipped to the office. In fact, the company incurred additional charges from our trash hauling company for them to properly recycle all of the cardboard shipping containers that your stuff came in. It probably would have been cheaper for you to ship yourself via UPS from destination to destination. Good luck and be careful. Joe Kubinec
ReplyDeleteBE CAREFUL! My boss was on a one week motorcycle trip last week through the Smokies. They set up camp and toured the local roads. When they got back to their camp, all of their gear was stolen from their tents - and it was their second night. They lost their saddle bags, rain gear, sleeping bags, everything. NOT FUN!
